New Moon Foundation


	ALOHA! Welcome to New Moon Foundation, co-founded in 1999 by Bennett Dorrance and Thuy Fujimoto. Inspired by Engaged Buddhist principles, the New Moon Foundation is committed to the practice of Right Relationship. We provide educational and science-based programs, scholarships and grants that teach and support our core values of G.R.A.C.E. Inspired by the people and aina (land) of Hawai`i, New Moon Foundation stewards 2,408 acres on the Big Island of Hawai`i, which extends from the Pacific Ocean into the Kohala Mountains. The land contains much of lole ahupua'a, a traditional Hawaiian land allocation that allowed for a holistic watershed management system. Situated on this ahupua'a is the Bond Historic District, a 56-acre federally registered historic district that includes the former Bond Homestead and the Kohala Girls' School.
