ALOHA!
Welcome to the New Moon Foundation, co-founded in 1999 by Bennett Dorrance
and Thuy Nguyen Fujimoto.
Inspired by the principles of Engaged Buddhism, the New Moon Foundation is
committed to the practice of Right Relationship. Our mission is to provide educational and science-based programs, scholarships and grants that encourage and support the practice of our core values G.R.A.C.E.
As part of our mission and inspired by the people and aina (land) of Hawai`i, the New Moon Foundation also ensures responsible and sustainable stewarship of over 2,400 acres on the Big Island of Hawai`i, which
extends from the Pacific Ocean into the Kohala Mountains. The land
contains much of lole ahupua'a, a traditional Hawaiian land allocation
that allowed for a holistic watershed management system. Situated
on this ahupua'a is the Bond Historic District, a 56-acre federally
registered historic district that includes the former Bond Homestead
and the Kohala Girls' School.
We invite you to learn more about the New Moon Foundation and discover
the great opportunities provided by this healing land and our team
who is dedicated to building mutually beneficial relationships with
all beings based on G.R.A.C.E.
